Spark Facilitation and Consensus Building
Every community has the capacity to solve complex problems, and sometimes the first step is building trust in each other and the process. Though Spark Policy understands many policy systems, we don't represent any one system, allowing us to be a neutral facilitator as our partners build trust with us and each other. Through facilitating all types of meetings, from legislative task forces to community leadership teams to high conflict dialogues, Spark Policy has built the skills and experience to adapt to the culture and context of your meeting.
Facilitation is only a means to an end - our facilitators work with clients to ensure that the dialogue focuses on the outcomes that are important to the stakeholders and that they help to find the solutions to complex problems. We seek to build collaborative leadership structures that can continue after the facilitation has ended. Successful facilitation not only achieves a short-term outcome, but leaves behind a base of collaboration that continues to be fruitful into the future.
Spark Policy's facilitation and consensus building services include:
- Facilitation for legislatively mandated councils and task forces,
- Strategic planning within an agency and across agencies at a coalition level.
- Strategic planning with consumers, families, and youth at the table.
- Communications planning.
- Developing a roadmap from where your community is today to the change you want to see tomorrow.
- Conflict resolution around a wide variety of cross-agency issues.
- Planning and facilitation for many other issues.
- Facilitation in complex policy settings, such as multi-system/multi-agency planning or diverse community collaborations.
